Nutrition

A diet abundant in fruits and vegetables should be simple, easy and most of all enjoyable. Nutrition is the foundation of our health and should be an absolute priority in any health condition. Eating well should not be a chore, and seeking advice on dietary modification, cooking, recipes and food inclusions & exclusions may be the first step towards a healthier, happier life. Once you have an optimal diet, you are assured that you will have the best groundwork for healthy ageing, longevity, good bones and mental health, less risk of memory loss, less chronic disease and a healthy body to enjoy over a long and active lifetime. Naturopaths provide all of this and more as a part of their consultation process.

Mental Health

Naturopathic care works from a unique angle regarding mental health. Nutrition and an understanding of the human biochemistry are important tools that Naturopaths use when managing mental health conditions. Mental health is a broad category, often multi-factorial and extremely individual for each patient. It is important therefore that no two patients are treated the same, and this is where individualised Naturopathic care excels.

Mental health conditions that may be assisted by a Naturopath include but are not limited to; Stress, Anxiety, Depression, fatigue and Chronic Fatigue, Insomnia, Schizophrenia, Bi-Polar Disorder, low moods, memory loss, adrenal fatigue and trauma recovery.

At Gould’s Natural Medicine Clinic our Naturopaths are trained to safely prescribe alongside pharmaceutical medications, and working with your Doctor we can assist you in your long term health goals to manage these conditions effectively.

After assessing each patient’s individual requirement, a treatment is likely to consist of specific nutrient support as per patient’s needs, and the use of herbs or other supplement to support recovery and maintain healthy mind and body.

Women's Health

Women in particular face an ever-changing health journey throughout the stages of their lives. Naturopathy can help to manage many conditions and symptoms that women experience on their health journey. Patients will receive individualised treatment plans specific to their condition and situation, and this may involve any number of modalities that our highly trained Naturopaths and allied health professionals are well adept at managing.

Women’s healthcare can be a sensitive issue, and all of our Naturopaths are trained professionals who take your health seriously. You can expect to be treated with compassion, integrity and respect by our practitioners, who want the best for you and your family.

For fertility and preconception care patients, partners are encouraged to attend appointments alongside their spouse, and if necessary will be referred for an individualised appointment themselves.

Women with children are welcomed into our clinic, and we provide a breastfeeding friendly environment where children are invited to attend appointments with their parents.
