We are looking for several people to join our supportive and caring clinic team!

This is an opportunity to be a part of Goulds Natural Medicine Clinic in Hobart, a business committed to making our patients' lives better through natural medicine.

 

We have a multi-modality practitioner team of Naturopaths, Nutritionist, an Acupuncturist/TCM practitioner, a Counsellor and Massage Therapists. We are looking for a bright, energetic and diligent person to join our dedicated reception team, to support our practitioners, patients and clinic.

Pay and working conditions

​

  • The position is casual initially, with the possibility of becoming PPT after 12 months.

  • We are looking for 2-3 people to share 40-50 hours per week. We’re open to what this may look like, and will work with our preferred candidates to fit this around their requirements as well as ours: are you at Uni and only wish to work 10-15 hours per week across a few shifts? Are you wanting to make this your primary job, and wish to work 3-4 days of 7-8 hours each, totalling 25-30 hours each week? Are you somewhere in between these options? We’re happy to consider all these and more!

  • Our clinic days start at 8:00am, and finish between 4:30pm-7:30pm. We're seeking people with flexibility to accommodate varying shifts within this time frame. 

  • There is the possibility of occasional Saturday shifts in the future if the clinic reopens on Saturdays.

  • Pay rate: casual rate of $33.56 – Level 3 Health Professionals and Support Services Award. (Award rate for age bracket applies to employees aged under 21 years). Plus 11.5% superannuation.

  • This role is suited to someone who wants to become part of the Goulds team into the future and can see themselves working with us for a minimum of two years.

 

Skills required to apply

 

Desirable

  • Previous experience in a reception, administration, hospitality or customer service role

  • Some familiarity with natural medicines (not essential)

Essential

  • Intermediate Microsoft Word and Excel skills

  • Intermediate Google Docs skills

  • Intermediate to advanced typing skills

  • Experienced in email and internet use

  • Intermediate numeracy skills including capacity to track financials, calculating payments and percentages, and conduct end of day financial settlement

  • Excellent phone and in-person communication skills

  • Excellent command of the written and spoken word

We are looking for a bright, energetic and diligent person to join our stock support  team to support our clinic and apothecary practitioners and patients. 

 

This role is centred around assisting in the smooth running of stock and postal order processing. Tasks may include (but are not limited to) pricing in-coming stock, stock rotation, carrying stock up stairs for storage, cardboard shredding, bottling and labeling oils and other preparations, packaging powders and granules, milling flaxseeds, preparation of prescriptions, packing and sending prescriptions to remote patients and customers, and some phone and email communication with customers and patients.

Pay and working conditions

  • Casual with a minimum of 15  hours per week (less work available on weeks with public holidays)

  • Our preference is for candidates able to work shifts that start at 8:30am and finish at 6pm and who are available across 4-5 days each week, Monday to Friday

  • Capacity to work occasional Saturdays in the future

  • Pay rate: casual rate of $32.06   ($38.48  Saturday) under the General Retail Award, retail employee level 1 (Award rate for age bracket applies to employees under 21) plus 11.5% superannuation.
