This is an opportunity to be a part of Goulds Natural Medicine in Hobart, a business committed to making our patients' lives better through natural medicine.

We are looking for a bright, energetic and diligent person to join our dedicated postal orders team to support our clinic and apothecary practitioners and patients. This role is centered around communicating with practitioners, customers and patients; and gathering, packaging, processing and sending prescriptions and orders to remote patients and customers.

Pay and working conditions

  • Casual with a minimum of 10-15 hours per week initially, with the potential to increase hours in the future 

  • Our preference is for candidates able to work shifts that start at 8:30 am and finish at 5pm and must be available to work on Thursdays and Fridays with some flexibility to work on other days 

  • Pay rate: casual rate of $27.91 under the General Retail Award, retail employee level 2 (Award rate for age bracket applies to employees under 21) plus superannuation.

Skills required to apply


  • Previous experience in an administration role

  • Previous experience in a customer service role

  • Some familiarity with natural products (not essential)

  • Previous experience in a mail order role 

  • Previous experience calculating prices (including postage) and taking payments



  • Intermediate Microsoft Word and Google Docs skills

  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills

  • Intermediate typing skills

  • Experienced in email and internet use

  • Excellent numeracy skills 

  • Excellent phone and in-person communication skills
