Natalie is a degree-qualified naturopath with over 20 years in clinical practice, and if you get her talking about the microbiome, be prepared to lose an afternoon. She's genuinely fascinated by the trillions of microbes we carry around with us, and by just how much they influence everything from digestion and immunity to mood, hormones, and thyroid function.

For Natalie, the microbiome isn't a niche interest, it's the thread that ties almost everything together when it comes to achieving optimal health and wellbeing.

Before naturopathy, Natalie completed a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Biology, and that grounding still shapes the way she thinks. She sees the gut as its own internal ecosystem, and loves drawing the parallel between the health of our external environment and the health of the one we carry inside us, each shaping the other in ways we're only beginning to understand.

Natalie has lived out this philosophy in her own health, too. After being diagnosed with Hashimoto's, she worked to identify and address the underlying drivers of her thyroid condition, and was able to restore her thyroid to optimal function, an experience that gave her a deeply personal understanding of the gut-thyroid connection, and a lot of empathy for anyone told their results are "normal" when they still don't feel right.

Natalie has a particular interest in complex, complicated cases. She appreciates the importance of getting to the bottom of what's going on, pulling it all apart, mapping out the timeline, investigating thoroughly, and really understanding the underlying issues and how they're all connected. From there, she treats methodically, with careful monitoring along the way, helping people see the light and hope that they can feel better again. Natalie is deeply grateful to be part of such an important healing journey in people's lives.

Food as medicine sits right at the heart of Natalie's approach. She believes that what we eat is one of the most powerful tools we have for healing, not as a quick fix or a fad, but as a foundation that nourishes the gut, supports the microbiome, and gives the body what it needs to repair and thrive. For Natalie, real, whole food isn't just about symptom management; it's about rebuilding health from the ground up.

Clinically, Natalie combines thorough case-taking with functional and microbiome testing to build treatment plans that are genuinely personalised, blending herbal medicine, naturopathic medicine, nutrition, and lifestyle change. Natalie is also a TEDx speaker, having shared her passion for the microbiome and its role in human health on the TEDx stage.

Outside the clinic, Natalie is mum to two teenagers who keep her endlessly busy and entertained, and who she credits as her biggest learning journey yet. She's an adventurer at heart, having trekked to Everest Base Camp and climbed Mount Fuji, and is always plotting the next big trip. Closer to home, she's recently fallen back in love with grass-roots herbal medicine, getting her hands back in the dirt as a keen gardener, and in the last couple of years has taken up curling, purely for the fun and the friendships. She lives locally in the Perth Hills with her family, deeply connected to the community that keeps her rooted.
